Quality Product

Fiesta has always produced a quality product and this is no exception. Nice heavy ceramic canister with an excellent finish. Lid fits snug into canister to keep contents fresh and seal can be removed from lid for cleaning. I have several other pieces that were purchased at various times and the finish color has always been consistant. You can’t go wrong with Fiesta.

This crock is very small. I wish I would have ordered 2 medium and a large, rather than one of each. Otherwise lid seals well, pretty.

For my Mom…

My mom collects the Plum Fiestaware. We have bought several pieces for her collection. The canisters are nice, not really big, but look great on the counter. Fiestaware is pretty pricey, but canisters are hard to find these days! Overall, she loved them, and we spent a little more than we should have! Oh well, thats life!

These are awesome!

Since I’ve been using these canisters my food spoilage has gone down to almost none. The clear canisters hold no mystery, the food is always fresh and they are much easier to work with than the plastic bags. My favorite thing to keep in them is fresh organic salad mix. The salad stays fresh and crisp 10 times longer than normal.

Definitely, not what it is cracked up to be!

Basically, the FOODSAVER system is sound and well designed EXCEPT for the canisters which often crack. Many of us have urged Tilia to upgrade the plastic canisters, and so far they have refused. I do not put the canisters in the dishwasher, or even use harsh chemicals. One canister cracked, pressurized, on the shelf after a few weeks without being moved. When you call Tilia they will let you know that there is NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND on their canisters, which tells volumes about how they view their own product.

Tilia blames their customers for the cracks. I am honestly sorry I did not heed the warnings I read by Amazon consumers before I purchased. I usually depend on Amazon customer recommendations for all my purchases. I have spent much money on Tilia accessories, and am now considering looking for another brand. Hope this helps, Ron

Great idea – not Versatile

The canisters a nice and strong. They keep the food fresh for a long time but… no freezer, no microwave? I’ll spend my money on the universal lids and reuse old jars that are freezable.

Best container

Best container I have ever have!! Very light weighted, nicely designed! I use this to store my grounded coffee and every time o open it, the nice strong coffee is still there! Got one and later ordered another one for my tea!! But it’s a bit pricy.

Exceeded my expectations

I didn’t know what to expect with this because so many glass and stainless coffee containers got bad reviews. This one is awesome though, exactly what I needed to store my beans. The seal is airtight, the canister is very attractive and well made. This is worth the purchase.

Looks great on counter

I use them to store fresh roasted and deferent varieties green coffee beans Coffee Bean Direct Green Brazil Santos, Whole Bean Coffee, 5-Pound Bag. Easy on and off air tight lid that has a thin silicon seal. The lid is also concaved so they could be stacked. I think they look great on the counter beside my stainless steel espresso machine and grinder

solid built, powerful and user-friendly.

my wife had been looking around, for a good while at different styles and types of vacuums. she has tried the bagless styles and was very displeased with them. after many considerations (oreck, kirby and etc.), she chose to try this one. after using it for several weeks, she has stated that she was very glad that we bought his one. i, myself, was totally surprized at the quality of this hoover. it’s very well built (not flimsy like most other vacuums at this price), very easy to move around, and has very strong suction power. my wife likes the way that the wands fit together easily, without the cord being in the way (the cord that dangles from most vacuums with the power nozzles) and the fact that you don’t have to change one nozzle to another (rug to bare floor) to finish vacuuming, just push the bar from rug to floor and it’s done. the only thing that my wife didn’t care for was that two of the attachements tools are stored on the wand, which does at times, come off when bumped against something. But other then that, she is very happy with this vacuumm. we have many pets (six all together) that are inside which my wife has to vacuum at least four to five times a week (with all the shedding) and she feels that this vacuum will do the job for a long time (we average about a vacuum every 2 years due to the constant use). over all, with it’s sturdy built, power, and user-friendly abilities, we give this vacuum 5 stars!!!!!michael and penny smith

I didn’t think I liked canister vacuums

I bought one because we have both wood floors and carpeting. This machine does a great job on both. It’s much more powerful than I imagined it would be. While the canister is heavy, you’re really only dealing with the much lighter handle. Even the stairs are easier. I’ve had bagless versions, and frankly, I’d rather not deal with the mess. The bag acts as a filter, so you’re changing the filter everytime you change the bag. I’ve heard that the canister style lasts longer. We have two long-haired fur balls at home, so we usually burn out a vacuum cleaner in a year. The upright models designed so that the mess doesn’t go anywhere near the motor run about $500. The bags are available here and at about a hundred web sites on-line. Don’t look for it at your grocers though.

Not bad, about what you’d expect

I have been using an upright for my carpet and a canister w/ smooth floor attachment for my wood floors. I got the Duros and here are the negative things I noticed:

1) On smooth floors it is more cumbersome to move the big beater bar head (with the beater bar turned off) around than a light smooth floor attachment.

2) On carpet, the canister has a shorter cord than the upright and you have to drag the canister behind you.

The positives are:

1) I’ve got one vaccum instead of two.

2) I don’t have to change heads to go from smooth floor to a rug or from the carpet to a bathroom with a tile floor, just turn off the beater bar.

3) I can go all the way under the couches, chairs and beds because the handle goes all the way down to the floor.

4) I does a fine job, other than getting used to moving it around, and it was cheaper than each of the vaccums it was replacing that are a few years (10 years) older.

5) The hair cutter we have attaches to a vaccum to suck up the hair as it’s being cut. The hair cutter works on the new vaccum and feels like it pulls harder than the old one.

I’m happy using generic FJM bags (from Amazon), 5 for $10!

I just love my two Miele cannister vacuums, they’re great. We live on all tile floors with 10 dogs and a few cats, so everyday I vacuum up a ton of animal hair, and I go through vacuum bags quite frequently. I’m not paying $19 for four bags, that’s ridiculous! I e-mailed Miele, they told me about how much better filtration the new bags afforded. I explained that filtration quality means nothing when cleaning very coarse animal hair. I’m not living in a “clean Room” at Intel!

I noticed that Bosch has also raised their cannister bag prices, so maybe it’s a German thing. I started buying generic “FJM” 5 bags for $10 from Amazon, which work just fine. These cheap bags have a cardboard connection at top, instead of plastic, but doesn’t matter. So I’m happy now. I’m not paying $5 per Miele bag! BEWARE OF THIS!

Beware of this item. I ordered “8 bags with 4 filters” from Go Vacuum and received 4 bags with 2 filters. The guy at Go Vacuum said Amazon is advertising it wrong and that there have never been 8 bags with 4 filters in this style. Even the box that came has a sticker on it that says “FJM Miele Bags 8 Bags with 4 Filters”. It’s wrong. The guy at Go Vacuum said I could just “send them back if I didn’t like them.” Haha.

Wrong Product sent

I purchased the Miele bag and they sent me the new Miele Bag called HyClean. The new product includes one less bag and thats why I did not want it. The picture on Amazon was for the old bags.

Update: I called them and explained this to them and they agreed to send me another bag to cover the one short. They have updated their images but it seems it did not flow to Amazon yet. I give them credit for addressing this problem.

Great starter set for the money, just a few quirks

Except that the bamboo tongs were messed up, the wood “bend” was too thin at one point and wasn’t springy. I just broke it apart and now have two bamboo spoons. I’m happy, there’s a metal pair on tongs in there. Stupid on my part, but be sure not to use the plastic peices on a real hot surface, they melt easily. Overall, I am very happy because I got a lot of items for a little money.
