Handy but dispenser could be improved

I have cannisters of these Clorox disinfecting wipes in our bathroom and kitchen, even though I realize it would be cheaper and probably more environmentally friendly to use the spray bottle of Clorox and a clean rag. But these wipes are very handy. All I have to do is pop open the top of the cannister and (assuming the wipes haven’t fallen into a big damp wad at the bottom) pull out a wipe and go to work on a counter or a sink.

The pop-up device could definitely be improved. It’s hard to keep one wipe at a time available. I either seem to pull out a wad, or have the wipes slither back into the bottom of the cannister where I have to fish for them through the jaws of the pop-up mechanism. One other minor problem occurs when the roll of wipes is nearing its end: the last few wipes are very soggy and have to be squeezed out before being used. A solution to this problem is to leave the top of the cannister open so that the liquid inside evaporates (but not completely.)

According to the information on the side of the cannister, the wipes kill 99.9% of bacteria in 30 seconds, and also some viruses, including Influenza A2, Rhinovirus type 14, Escherichia coli O157-H7, Streptococcus pyogenes, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Staphylococcus aureus. If you bathed in this stuff, you probably wouldn’t have to worry about your face being eaten off by the bacteria lurking in hospitals and locker rooms, although you definitely don’t want to mistake them for the products that are euphemistically referred to as ‘flushable wipes.’
